The Saint Pancrace church of Kraainem
A church existed
in Kraainem since the beginning of IXe century with the site
of the current church of St Pancrace. One still sees there the
vestiges of the church mérovingienne, in particular with
the entry, four posts out of sandstone with head of ibex with
knotty horns which, appears it, are single in Belgium. The tower
of the church would date from XIIe century, one does not see
of it more that the top, the base and part of the body are buried
following various repairs and rebuildings. |
The Castle Jourdain
